UKEAS IELTS PROGRAMME
CLASS ENTRANCE ASSESSEMENT

This assessment is designed to check your English level so that we may place you in the class that most closely matches your English skills.

• This assessment is in three parts and takes 50 minutes to complete.
• Please keep strictly to the time allocated for each section as this test has been designed to assess your performance within a set time limit, as does the actual IELTS test.

 

Part 1 - Listening (8 minutes): You will listen to three short telephone conversations and answer ten questions about them.

Part 2 - Reading (20 minutes): You will read a short article and answer fifteen questions on it.

Part 3 - Writing (20 minutes): You will write a brief three-quarter page essay on a topic.

Final checking time (2 minutes): You will have two minutes after you finish the writing paper to quickly check all your work and answers.
